Welcome to the Monocul.us FreeDMR Network

Monocul.us operates a public FreeDMR server along with a DMR ID master server. This network is open to both licensed radio amateurs (HAMs) and non-HAM users for experimentation and personal communications using the DMR protocol.

Network Guidelines

To ensure a friendly and efficient environment, please adhere to the following rules:

  • No politics – This is not a bar or pub. Keep discussions focused on technical topics.
  • Be respectful – Treat all users with kindness and respect.
  • Leave 5 seconds between transmissions – This prevents locking up repeaters and hotspots.
  • Non-HAM users must not use RF access – Some countries allow low-power devices; check your local regulations.
  • Do not impersonate others – Falsely representing yourself as another user is strictly prohibited.

Failure to follow these rules may result in a ban from the network. If you engage in harassment or disruptive behavior, we may also report your IP address to spam blacklists.

Each country has different regulations regarding the connection of RF systems to the internet. It is your responsibility to ensure compliance with your local laws. We are not responsible for any violations committed by users.

DMR Master Server Information

The DMR master server is located at: dmrnet.monocul.us (No HTTPS support)

It uses the standard FreeDMR password: passw0rd

DMR ID Registration

To access the network, you will need a DMR ID from our DMR ID server. We do not use the Radio-ID system. However, if you already have a RadioID.net ID, you can transfer your ID after an automatic verification process.

For any questions or support, feel free to reach out to the Monocul.us community forum. Happy experimenting!
